~A lil bit of shopping and Brunswick Street Festa~

A beautiful Sunday afternoon it was last Sunday for our little outing, shopping and a street festa! We went to a couple of vintage shops where I picked up a fierce dress! If I am brave enough to wear it out I will put the pics up, its just a matter of IF! At 35 Ive realised I have become a lot more reserved in what I wear. When I was younger lordy lord the things I wore without giving two hoots about what anyone thought! My infamous 'carpet skirt' as I would call it, my mum hated it but I insisted on wearing it. I was just telling a friend how if I were 10 years younger Id be wearing chucks under my skirts!! I LOVEEEE CHUCKS!!
There are so many styles that I would love to wear but chastise myself thinking, your a mother! and 35 at that. I would also love to change my hijab style on occasion but seriously am not brave enough.  Are any of you in the same boat? I think the above thinking is really what helped pushed me to do this blog, I think it will help me think outside of the box and make me more adventurous with what I wear, and InshAllah and ultimately more modest!

The Brunswick festival is an annual event with live music, stalls and performances. The highlight for me was finding my daughters Tibetan hat and the Irish bagpipes! I do think however I got a  lil sunstroke as I was soooooo dang lethargic when I got home, just wanted to scrunch into a ball and sleeeeeppppp!!! Alhamdulillah really enjoyed my day:)

How awesome are their socks???:))
