my weekend -DINOS ALIVE & TURKISH BAZZAR

Weekends are family days, Saturdays me and the fam bam try to do child oriented activities. Sundays my hubster likes to stay home and relax before the work week so I normally take the opportunity to run away and either have a mother daughter day with my princess or go shopping!

This weekend we scored two sunny days so I decided to spend most of the sunlit hours outdoors. Saturday we took the tiddlywinks to the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit at Harbour Town. It really was a small exhibit (we were hoping for more, especially when you pay over $60 for entry). There were six huge animated dino's. that moved and roared. I think I was more excited about the whole thing then the kids!  We then had a lovely late lunch-slash-dinner at Deans Cafe. A small restaurant that serves Thai, Malay and Singaporean cuisine. We ordered way too much food but it was all very authentic tasting and yum! Later in the afternoon we visited a lovely family and again I was stuffed with food! ( my cuttingdownonportion diet does NOT seem to be working!!) Alhamdulillah full and very enjoyable day!

Queen Victoria Market hosted a small Turkish bazzar on Sunday so my sister and I went down for a squiz. It was quite small with about 15 stalls of food, clothing, jewellery and other Turkish paraphernalia. I think the trip was worth it only after watching the awesome Turkish traditional folk dancers. Oh and of course so was the food!
